Daily writing promptHow often do you say “no” to things that would interfere with your goals?View all responses I learnt much later in life that Cinderella's sisters had cut off their feet to fit in the glass slipper. And also that I cannot quite be anything that I wanted to be in my life just because everyone said so. Because it might not be who I was meant to be to begin with. Saying "no" to ice cream is not really easy. But if my goal is to be an opera singer, it becomes slightly easier. But saying "no" to a career as a playback singer because my goal is to be an opera singer is in an altogether different ballpark. I guess the fist thing to determine is whether something is going to interfere with my goals or redirect it. And go onward based on that.
